During his recent appearance at CinemaCon (via THR), Luca Guadagnino stated he’s having “conversation(s) with very exciting performers to play the leads” of his American Psycho remake, and that the script by Scott Z. Burns is “coming out very handsomely.”
The Long Walk
Deadline reports the film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Long Walk starring Mark Hamill, Judy Greer, Cooper Hoffman, Charlie Plummer and David Jonsson is now schedule for a September 12 theatrical release date.
Weapons
Footage recently screened at CinemaCon revealed Zach Cregger’s Weapons concerns the mysterious disappearances of a first grade class after each child wakes up in the middle of the night and “never comes back.” Julia Garner stars as their teacher who becomes the “focal point of parental and administrative anger” haunted by “apparitions” of her missing students. Variety notes “the final moments of the trailer revealed a terrifying figure hiding deep in the woods, one that looked overwhelmingly like a female clown.”

Deadline reports Chris Coy has joined the cast of Lanterns as new character Waylon Sanders, “an intelligent survivor or a nervous truck driver. Age and real name unknown, he’s unbound by the laws of nature.”

Appearing as a guest on Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside Of You podcast (via Screen Rant), Emily Bett Rickards stated she’d like to reprise her role as Felicity Smoak in a new Arrowverse project since she feels the character “got a little lost in the later seasons” of the series.
As the years went on, things got like a little crazy, but I’m still so grateful for not only Arrow, but for Felicity. I’m really proud of who Felicity was. I think she got a little lost in the later seasons, and I wish I could have changed that for her, but I wasn’t a writer.
I want to give Felicity her flowers, to be honest “There are things that I wish that Felicity stood up for more. I love Felicity [so] I’m not doing it for Arrow or really the fans. I’d be doing it for Felicity. And then everybody else gets it just as a side effect!
