❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

We love apple butter and always seem to have bananas we need to use, so we created this recipe. The band of apple butter in the center of the bread is wonderful, and it helps keep the bread moist, too. We love the combination of apples and bananas and this one is delicious. It’s the best of both fruits!

You can switch out the nuts in this recipe or leave them out altogether. We have made this with Musselman’s Apple Butter, which we find at Walmart, but any should work. One reader commented that they made this into muffins, and it was a success. Most of the recipes on our website are versatile and may people change things and add that in the comments so always read those.

⭐TIP

We added the powdered sugar glaze because we like it, but it’s definitely not needed. We don’t add it every time we make it as it’s an option and it’s just as good without the glaze.

This Apple Butter Banana Bread is a recipe you will make over and over. It is good with or without the glaze. Great for breakfast or brunch.

• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup butter softened
• 2 eggs beaten
• 3 bananas mashed
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts pecans
• 1/2 cup of apple butter I use Musselman’s Apple Butter
• 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

Powdered Sugar Glaze Ingredients -Optional

• 1 cup white powdered sugar
• 3-4 tbsp Milk whole or 2%
• 1 tsp vanilla extract optional

• Preheat oven to 350. Mix butter, sugar, eggs, and bananas with mixer. Add flour, baking soda and chopped nuts. Spread half the mixture in a 9X5 greased loaf pan.

• Mix apple butter, cinnamon and vanilla together and spread over mixture. I use a butter knife to spread it. Pour the remaining bread batter over the apple butter.I sprinkle more pecans on top. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degree for 60 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan. Makes one large loaf of bread.
